2022 Reflections

We’re a month into the new year and as excited as I am for what we have planned for 2023, I would love to reflect back on 2022.

In Spring of 2022, I decided it was time to start Cozy Canine Coffee. It didn’t have a name at the time yet. It had been years of wanting to own my own coffee company, but always thinking that it would have to happen when I was a little, old lady in retirement (with lots of dogs of course). But there was no perfect moment. When we decided to take the leap, it was scary and exciting & it is still scary and exciting! But we were supported & encouraged more than I ever expected and with that we were able to launch in August.

From 8/1/22-12/31/22…

  • We roasted 971 LBS of green coffee.

  • We were able to donate a total of $1,039.68 & 22.8 LBS of coffee to our animal rescue partners.

  • We started supporting & bringing in coffee from our first direct trade coffee relationship with Juan Urquia, a coffee producer from Honduras.

  • We began working with Garden Coffee to serve Cozy Canine Coffee on their espresso bar.

  • We were part of six pop-up events in San Diego.

Working with other small businesses and artists has been incredibly inspiring. We got to work with so many wonderful humans all of whom we are so grateful for!

We are looking forward to working with our current small business partners in the new year and making new friends and partnerships! Last but not least, we are so grateful for our Cozy Canine Coffee ambassadors and customers. Our ambassador team has grown from four to six amazing, encouraging and supportive humans and pups! And for our customers, we have found that we have the kindest folks supporting us! And that mostly everyone has found us through a friend! So we really can’t thank you all enough for sharing about our coffee with your loved ones.

I mean it when I say that we couldn’t do this without you all - so thank you! I’m looking forward to this new year together!

Take care,

Caro
