Recipe: Blackberry Yuzu Espresso Tonic/Sparkling Americano
This sparkling, fruit-forward recipe will keep you both cool and caffeinated this summer season!
Ingredients
0.5 oz of blackberry syrup
1 oz of yuzu or lemon syrup
4-6 oz of club soda or tonic water (your preference!)
Ice
Espresso shot
Note: Use Muddy Paws Dark Roast for a richer espresso to highlight the blackberry syrup or pull Fur-ever Friend Blend for a more fruit-forward and acidic shot to highlight the yuzu or lemon syrup.
Steps
Fill the glass with ice.
Add your syrups.
Pour the club soda or tonic water with about an inch left to pour your shot.
Slowly pour your espresso shot on top.
Stir to incorporate.
Kick back and relax!
Take it one more paw forward!
Swap out blackberry syrup for a teaspoon of blackberry jam!
Top with a sprig of mint or dried lemon slice.
If you have a sweet tooth, add more syrup or even add 0.5-1oz simple syrup.
